February Trunk Club
I got my second Trunk Club Trunk last month and my Stylist, Lauren, nailed it. If you’re interested in scheduling your own Trunk, you can use this link to be paired up with Lauren. To be totally honest, I was a little hesitant to start because I’m pretty particular and have also been trying to shop and spend less. But I found myself shopping less in between each Trunk and Lauren helps me build up wardrobe staples and also try a few things I wouldn’t normally. I also love how you can see your Trunk before it ships and make any requests or changes. It’s fun because she also includes outfit pairings within each Trunk AND shares how things can work with items you kept from your previous Trunks.
If you follow me on Instagram, you probably already saw me rave about this floral wrap bodysuit. Unfortunately, it’s almost gone but I highly recommend keeping an eye on it and I’ll be sure to update with any restocks!
I’ve told Lauren date night style is something lacking in my wardrobe and I absolutely adore both the classic fit and feminine silhouette of this top. It’s beyond flattering and I love how it can serve so many purposes from work to play, season after season. How cute would this look paired with cutoff shorts and strappy sandals this summer? It’s a great price at just $45 and I have it in an xs. Be aware, it’s pretty open in the front but I found it easy to sort of tuck it to keep it in place.
Lauren also sent this ALLSAINTS striped knit top and it’s incredibly soft and tucks beautifully into high rise jeans. To be honest, it’s more expensive than I would prefer to spend but I can also see this working for every season and I’d truly rather splurge on quality and make purchases that will last, rather than having multiple striped tops that fall apart.
I told Lauren I’d be interested in some Topshop jeans, since I love how they fit. She sent two super skinny styles (which I love) in an Indigo wash and a pair in dark blue that almost looks like faded black. They’re both high rise and fit tight all the way through the ankle. This style instantly makes me feel more feminine and somehow put together. These do run a bit small, so if you’re in between sizes, I would size UP. I’m in a 25.
I also paired the striped top with this BlankNYC suede skirt Lauren sent. It’s funny because I was actually wanting a classic, neutral skirt so I was really excited to see this one. Unfortunately, this ran a little big but Trunk Club let’s you easily exchange, so I’m awaiting a smaller size.
Lauren sent these Sam Edelman knee high boots which I didn’t initially think I would like but they ended up surprising me. I didn’t end up keeping them mainly because they were a little big and not something I felt I needed in my wardrobe at this time.
Before my shipment, I told Lauren I loved this plaid trench coat and I was happy to see it in my Trunk! It’s a classic style I feel good in and often find myself needing something lightweight to layer over sweaters and basics.
Lastly, I told Lauren I’d love to see athleisure pieces in my Trunk and she sent so many things that were literally on my own “need” list. I kept a new pair of Zella high waist leggings in black to replace a couple worn-out pairs, as well as this Ultrasoft Recycled Pullover Hoodie. It really is incredibly soft and I actually wanted something exactly like this for morning walks with the dogs. I love how it has thumbholes, a hood and a pocket.
