Happy Monday! I love having easy and effortless basics to take me through every season. There's something about black denim that makes any outfit instantly feel finished and put together. They're a staple in my wardrobe and an edgy base I rely on. 

This Free People pair from Nordstrom is seriously the most amazing steal—only $78. The high rise makes for an easy half tuck and flattering fit and the rips give them that added edge I love.

If you haven't jumped on the high rise trend yet—do. I love love the silhouette they create and they just help keep everything in place. This pair runs tts and is a tight fit with some stretch which is something I love. So far no bagging or stretching and the ankle length will be perfect with booties into fall. For reference, I'm 5'6" and wearing size 25.

I added a new denim jacket to my collection and this one by Topshop is too good. It's a slightly oversized fit and has a slouchy feel. The subtle distressing keeps it casual-cool and it will be such a wardrobe staple. Wearing a US 2 here. 

This black Madewell tee is the second I've added to my collection and I don't see myself stopping anytime soon. The black on black is an easy way to feel cool in an instant but I love that you can wear this outfit with literally any top in any color. 

I love buying my staples at Nordstrom and have so much less buyers remorse when I know they're pieces that are so interchangeable, work a multitude of ways and are under $100. I've worn these jeans several times each week since I bought them from day to weekend to a night out—just swap the denim jacket with a moto.

This outfit will be such a go-to for daily wear and can see myself swapping out the sandals for sneakers for on-the-go days or wearing with booties into fall.
