Summer is officially here this week and it could not be any hotter. I'm such a summer baby, yet every year when it hits 100, I wish for spring weather to come back. I've been picking up shorts and rompers to add to my warm weather collection, yet I completely forgot about my maxi dress collection until this Three Dots maxi. And you guys, I'm obsessed.

I snagged it from Amazon Fashion last Thursday and had it delivered by Saturday just in time to wear for Father's Day—and 105-degree heat. 

I really love the classic navy tone and lightweight, airy feel of this dress. It almost has a gauzy feel and is perfect for hot weather—a great vacation piece, too! It's pretty loose and billowy, so I added this cognac belt for more shape. Side note: If you have a hard time with belts being small enough around your waist, this is the one. It's adjustable and you can wear it multiple ways—I love it with the butterfly knot and it stayed put all day.

I also love the brown tone paired with the classic navy and kept it neutral with these blush slide sandals. I love the effortless feel of the whole combination and it's definitely something I'll be wearing all summer long. Did I mention this dress has pockets? It would be so perfect thrown on over a bathing suit for a day at the pool and I'm even wearing mine to work this week. 

When I bought mine it was selling out, so I also found this one that seems to be identical. For reference, I'm wearing the xs.
